Believe it or not, the game goes on. This year offers only few changes as Rumania is the only center to change ownership now. So, one build for Austria and one removal for Russia.
Next phase is Autumn retreats and Winter adjustments combined, because the retreat is sort of obvious. So, no Autumn press! Let's get this game moving a bit faster now.

Turkey:
Okay, so now I have done exactly as you asked. If you did as you said, I'm
out of Greece, and you get to keep all your units, and your units are poised
to be able to take on Sevastopol next year. I was reading your summer press
again, and I realize that I want just the same as you - a competent and
communicating ally, and you are the one I can get. So, I'm burying my
hatchet,
please you bury yours, and we can go forward together.
I'll go with your split first - that you get Sevastopol. But, I want you to
send fleets
west, and when you get into Tunis, I would like Sevastopol. This is a far
more defendable line for both of us, so we won't have to worry as much about
a
stab.
If you didn't decide to go with your word, and have not enabled me to take
Rumania, I will have been bounced back to Greece. If so, all is not lost.
Remove
the fleet in Eastern Mediterranean (or, if you took Ionian Sea, remove that
fleet
- we'll get your fleet in that direction later on, but I'd need some
confirmation that
I can trust you, and pulling that fleet would certainly help).
I believe we can build and hold a stalemate. I need to believe so, and if we
can get
our fleets west coordinated, we should be able to bottle England up. France
seems
quite competent, so if England does a major offensive into the Med, that
might
allow France into a good position, perhaps good enough to rival England's
thoughts
of world domination.
This relationship between us has been quite much more difficult because of
the
one-press-per-season nature of the game. It wouldn't be that hard to talk
things
through and realize where each other are coming from if we had the
opportunity to
get a few mails between us before a movement season. Still, we'll have to
make do
with what's available, and I certainly hope this can work. Give it a good
think, no
matter what happened in fall, and see for yourself where a future is for
you.
Russia:
So, here's your dagger back. Turkey reminded me - you are the one to stab
me.
So, unless Turkey messes up somehow with stabbing me or other silly things,
I'm
afraid you'll have to go. You are the one to stab, you are the one not to
communicate,
and you are the one unable to follow agreements to have them succeed. You
could
have taken Turkey on quite successfully, but chose to stab me for one center
instead. Fair enough, but time for me to give Turkey a chance, I think. Of
course,
read the press to Turkey, and if he fails to comply with an alliance with
me, then I'm
once again free on the market and would be willing to work with you.
France:
Curling up in your shell, I see. You could have made more adventurous moves
against
the English, but now it will take him long to get through your defenses,
long enough for
me (and hopefully Turkey) to come west and bottle you up.
However, remember there is little chance that England's Med fleet will have
me as
the primary target. Most likely, Iberia and Marseilles are what he's looking
for.
Whereas he will deny this, just look at the board.
General comment from England;
Well, it looks like Russia will be laid low by an impetuous Turkey, and
Austria will gain from the ruins. Then Turkey will be laid low after that.
Meanwhile France and England will be deadlocked and helpless to do anything
about it. A 14SC Austria will then turn its greedy eyes on a crippled
Germany and misguided, stubborn France.
Congratulations Herr Puppet Master.
Don't feel too cocky, Russia, it took everyone around you to prop you up!
