Hip hurray! Germany is back in it's 1900 size of three centers. Maybe this is the beginning of a magnificent new empire? Well, meanwhile, Turkey loses three centers to Austria-Hungary, so gaining one in Naples doesn't really balance it out. England also manages to gain one center this turn despite losing Kiel.
English solo victory has been proposed. May I have your votes before the coming deadline, please?
Next deadline, for Winter 1911, is 12.8.2002, 12:00 GMT.

to England: Seems you want to trade some dots? Well, I'll try to help you to
Naples when I get the chance... if you're happy with Rome, Naples,
Sevastopol,
Warsaw and Moscow then I should have a pretty good lock on the second
place, actually. If you've dislodged me in Sevastopol then all the better -
it'd be
right on it's way into Turkey unless he moved to Armenia.
As for telling everyone, there's no need to tell me any more than what
concerns me
directly - where you are moving in the south where it has effects on my
planning.
to Turkey: English solo? No kidding. Can you imagine which power's actions
and
which power's reactions brought that one about? Funny if you didn't realize
that this
was all bound to happen if you stabbed me. But then again, you don't care
about
draws so you'd rather drag your allies into the sod than letting them
achieve their
goals when your own are out of reach. But then again, that's the big
difference of
what is fun for a soloist and what is fun for an alliance player, isn't it.
You have
great fun making other people fall short of their goals, lying to them,
belittling them
and so on, while an alliance player likes to get to know players around the
table,
play the balance of power game to benefit an alliance, and look for mutual
goals
a bit further than one season. Am I right?
Sure, you can argue that a solo is the goal of the game and one should
strive to
achieve one. Fair enough, but a solo means nothing to me. Just as much as
the
perfect game ends in a draw because nobody is stupid enough to give up a
solo
given a strong enough level, which you wouldn't even take, you'd rather ruin
it
for everyone but one by directly or indirectly throwing a solo to one power.
Germany;
Welp, here we go with the problems of commo in an open press gunboat.
Both of us asked to move to Burgundy with support from the other.
More then a 50 % chance of neither of us making the right moves to make it
happen so I did something else.
Lets try coordinating on the longterm instead.
I've decided Germany will go to Burgundy, but will try to get the army into
Belgium first. That should work just fine if Germany will move their army
into Ruh after I vacate. With only two armies in Europe and no chance at a
build any time soon, even if France defends against this it will be two to
our three armies pushing into Burgundy.
One last thing: just let me know which army will be making the fatefull move
into Burgundy...Ruh or Munich?
See you in France.
Austria;
I thought about your suggestion and decided to go with Rom.
to England:
I hope this went as planned. Once I looked more
closely at the map I realized Turkey could just walk
into Munich if I went to BUR, so I supported you in.
If it didn't work out then I will support you in
again in the spring. If there are no hostile units
bordering Munich I'd like you to support me in
instead.
