F English Channel retreats to Brest.
A Kiel retreats to Munich.
to France:
I see England is coming for you - if I'm able, I
will prop you up to be part of the draw. Germany
is almost eliminated by now, but I hope you can
leave him alone for now - perhaps he can help us
stop the English too, now that the English
allegedly is allied with Russia.
Doesn't look like you need my help to liberate
Marseilles, and well, if he keeps it, we can hope
he keeps F Clyde rather than his Med fleet.
to England:
I see... I gave Russia Rumania and ordered
supports for his attack on Turkey, you take
Sweden and St. Petersburg off him, and this turn
you even moved to cut his Baltic Sea support
(although he moved the fleet, you couldn't know
that). This makes you his friend and not me, huh?
As for who is running away with the game, you
know, you're under attack from a fleet in Clyde,
I'm under attack from Russia and Turkey. My
position is not very good, yours is a game-
winning one.
to Russia:
disappointed that you are trying to hang on to
Budapest, but I'm going to throw you out of
there. I'm sure you understand. You know, if
you'd be more willing to cooperate, perhaps
things could be different diplomatically in the
ART triangle, so I'll see if you've written
something for me this turn.
to Turkey: Fair enough... when was my chance,
though? I advise you to reconsider the situation
continuously, and if you find at a point that
cooperation with Austria would benefit you, be
sure to let me know (or just stick that dagger
into Russia's back, that works too).
to Germany:
Looks like I misread your plans completely,
having moved Munich to Ruhr and all. I don't
really understand, but I see the point that it
would not be smart for you to explain it to me -
as I have no need to understand what you're
trying to do. Let me just point out that I would
be happy to see a move for Lvn to Moscow and/or
to Berlin, we'll see what we can do. I will
listen carefully to your summer press and if you
have proposed plans, I might very well follow
them (apart from supporting Livonia to Warsaw -
which would end up bounced after cut supports in
Silesia and Galicia). I'm sure you've noticed
that England is likely to support himself to
Kiel - you could do well to boucne Russia out of
Hol, perhaps (but I don't know what the French
are up to).
Nobody is listening anyway.
In an visit to Siberia by the Tsar in the Spring, it has been revealed that
the train neglected to wait for the leader to reboard. Search parties are
currently combing the area but have found no trace of the Tsar. Until
further notice the chief of security has taken over control of the nations
red armies until further notice.
After glancing at the map he is dismayed to see the Russian forces so spread
out and wondered aloud if their was actually a search party employed in
Siberia at all.
russia: forget what i said about support into greece. ;) good luck on your side of things, you're looking like you might need it. however, may i suggest using the following moves: bul - rum; sev - rum; kie - hol; ber - sil; mos - war; bud - gal. you might save a good bit of your front, yet. unless, of course, england or the analyst bloke have better suggestions. i will be sending my fleets out to prepare for turkey's new war. good luck.
austria: pardon moi, mon ami.
england: just so you know, i voted for the solo. :) though i've been another mf telling the truth, i think...
Colour Analyst to Austria:
First, I really need to stop replying to each and every one of you that address me, during the seasons; but in the meantime, I'm bored. So I re-evaluated the whole Galicia thing, and stand by my assessment.
Instead, you ought to have used the Winter turn's Press, preceding that, to actually help your beknighted ally, Russia. Admittedly, its as much his fault as yours, but since you're the one who communicates, and took the lead in your alliance, and made the Galicia move without warning him, then it falls upon you, In My Opinion (for the little that counts).
Specifically, you should have had Russia bounce you in Galicia (Rumania - Galicia & Budapest - Galicia), instead of attempting a convoy. You should also have suggested to him that he do one of three things with his fleet, combined with the move of Sevastapol - Armenia. Either move to Ankara with the Fleet -- Black Sea - Ankara -- OR support himself into Armenia -- Black Sea S Sevastapol - Armenia, OR move directly to Constantinople with support from you. Turkey would have been forced to move Constantinople - Black Sea, Aegean Sea - Bulgaria, and Armenia - Ankara, to cover all three options. Russia would hopefully have realised this, and realised that the best move for him, therefor, was supporting himself to Armenia, since its the one that succeeds if Turkey makes those moves. Then Turkey would have been in a much tighter spot than he was -- and much much tighter than he finds himself, now -- and Russia may have had second thoughts about stabb! ! ing you.
But hindsight is twenty-twenty, as they say. And its easier to suggest what you should have done, than what you should do now. Good luck.
