to France: I hope you remain focused on the English. I hope you are in the
Channel when you read this. Don't come into the Mediterranean, you'd
only end up helping England eliminate you.
to Turkey: You can hardly have high thoughts of me. Promising not to
build armies, but rather building fleets, yet you are demanding
Sevastopol, in addition to that the obvious target of Italy and Tunis. I
had to act this very turn, if I had waited one turn, you would have had
full control of the seas. This way, I can give you a fight for them. I still
maintain that you haven't given me a fair chance of alliance. But then
again, you haven't given anyone else a fair chance of alliance either, have
you?

austria: rumania remains yours. i want sevastapol simply to protect my
eastern front. i will use it to support you into and in moscow, all you
want. beyond that support, my position in the coming war(s) will be in the
med. also note that i don't request any of you italian holdings. though a
center or two out of the kindness of you heart would be appreciated.
england: there comes a time when one needs to decide where one stands.
since there are still three main powers in the east, and only two in the
west, better to make peace (finally) with the competent neighbor, than
trust the abilities of the other one. i can't trust russia's ability;
therefor, i have to trust austria's recognition of the fact that i am more
valuable as an ally than an enemy. better to live and fight another day,
than not be able to fight at all.
