press to England:
Again, congratulations. I hope you'll give me insights into a few of your
secrets after
the game, this is truly excellent "look over there"-diplomacy, and I admit,
if I hadn't
been playing this game, I would have bought your story about the game
history. It
is truly amazing listening to your twisted statements, and an honour to play
with you
(although, of course, I wish I could have held it to a draw instead of an
English solo).
A few points...
1) You of course did the best choice when choosing between Turkey and me. At
that
point, sure, you were going to top in either case, but cooperating with me
gave you this
great chance at a solo, whereas cooperating with Turkey would have you
pushed back
to the stalemate eventually, and no solo was possible. You know as well as I
do that
he couldn't offer you what you got from me. Besides, with the pace I was
giving you
centers, it hardly made any difference - you were almost attacking me
together with
Turkey, only I got a say in what centers you took. You cannot really expect
to get more
centers than what you got with those three units ;-)
2) Game history? Oh sheesh. First Italy, he was playing completely erratic.
Sure, it was
entertaining, but not an ally I would like to depend on (trying to move to
Trieste and all).
As for Russia and Turkey, yes I changed side when I was stabbed. I don't see
how that
makes three times, but well, you're free to spread nonsense.
3) About always going for the win, and the draw being worthless, that was
TURKEY's
position, not mine! He was also the one to stab when we had the draw line
set up (there
was no longer any chance for a solo for either Austria nor Turkey, so the
best result
was simply to accept your top, and take the draw). Sure, I'd take the win if
I could, but
I'm not in a position to, nor have I been. I've been playing to get myself
the best result
possible, and I can't see why you would complain about that - aren't we
trying to get a
good result when playing games?
press to Germany:
I hope you built a fleet, but of course you didn't. Well, if Trieste is
opened for a fleet
build this year (that means: German forces move away NOW!), there is a case
for
an AEG draw (I think we can still make it), If you are not planning to move
all forces
away from our mutual border instantly, can't we please pass the English solo
now, as
this would be completely pointless, playing the game on until you have taken
another
center and two and THEN see him take the solo. There's soon no way back,
take a
look for yourself. It might actually be too late already, but I'm still
willing to give it a
shot.
England to;
France;
Thanks for the input. I keep telling everyone I'm just not as smart as they
think I am...
but I don't want to attack an ally just because its 'the smart' move...
People who think only in 'must win or draw' parameters won't even begin to
fathom what I'm about.
Turkey;
Perfect! I will be supporting you to Ion and then to Aeg. Austria can't stop
that no matter WHAT he builds!
We're bringing you HOME baby!
If Austria wants to work with you no problem, I'm all for it in fact...
insist on your home centers back and I won't even stand in the way of that.
Austria;
You see Austria its like this...everything you do from start to finish in a
game(and SAY in a gunboat) sets the tone.
If you had not been duplicitous in your early dealings, Turkey may not have
stabbed you to begin with.
Then you were trying desperately to totally humiliate and destroy Turkey.
So now you think Turkey owes you something????
The only way I see you can mend fences with Turkey is to give him his home
centers back.
But seeing how you've played the game so far, I doubt that will happen.
(so we'll just TAKE them)
Germany;
Its going to be rough with Austria in Silesia.
He's crushed for time so he's making moves in desperation.
He could build a fleet to attempt to counteract the overwhelming fleet
superiority he faces in the Med...or...
if he builds an army he's coming after you or me.
You do your thing, because anything we try to coordinate will fall flat.
I will tell you this though;
I am moving A Livonia to Prussia
I hope you cover Warsaw with Gal(Hey, we lost the advantage for now but will
gain it back soon:
see all those coastal regions in the Med? they will all be threatened:)
I will be in position to attack Rome in the Fall or take Naples.
If I am in Prussia in the Fall I will be supporting you into Sil or
supporting Warsaw.
Nuff said...
France to England:
Of course no hard feelings. Hell, I feel I played a decent game.
Remove that early attack by Italy and I had a shot.
France to Austria:
I voted in favor of all the English solos. I'm guessing Turkey or
Germany. Germany wanted me eliminated before he gives up and concedes
to England. I still intend to taunt him until the game's over,
though...
France to Germany:
Denmark and Marseille will fall
Kiel is next on the list
The English are coming to call
you had your chance and you missed.
(yeah, I know it's bad, but I can't resist)
England:
I voted no last time, but yes this time. Austria
squeezed in but if the solo fails I'll just pull back a
bit and squeeze him back. I do appreciate
DEN and you won't regret doing so. He has no avenue
for growth and I think the end game is evident.
How about BEL to RUH and PAR to BUR. Then if Austria
has found his way to Munich we can easily destroy that unit.
Meanwhile we can see if he is bluffing or not. As I
said, I voted yes and I suspect Turkey will as well.
england: next?
austria: can't very well bribe me, if you're refusing to deal. ne?
