"All calm and peaceful"

You're boring! Not a single conflict! But sure, there are some very interesting orders. In the west, England and France show no conflicting interests as England moves to north with very standard opening while France takes the totally southern alternative. Germany is also taking a sort of eastern approach with an army in Silesia. There's something rotten in the lowlands, it seems, as everybody is leaving.

In the east, Austria-Hungary opens with pretty standard southern opening, making claims for Greece. Turkey shows anti-Russian sentiments with fleet in Black Sea and an army in Armenia. As the Russian fleet is in Rumania, this will probably mean trouble for Russia. Italy makes a bit of a strange move moving F Naples to Tyrrhenian Sea, but the strangest move of all is still the Russian move to Finland. I've never ever seen that one happen! I hope this isn't some sort of prologue for anti-Finnish sentiments, February Manifests and all that sort of garbage. So, Phil, promise me you're just going through, ok?

This all boils down to very interesting Autumn season at least I'm expecting with interest. I'm setting the deadline far away, because Gregory is away until Tuesday. After that, let's have slightly shorter deadlines, ok?

Next deadline, for Autumn 1901 moves, is 15.3.2001 15:00 GMT.
